Empowering girls to Flow with Confidence & Dignity, period.

About Girl Flow

Girl Flow formerly Covered Girls is nonprofit 501c3 dedicated to empowering menstruators before and during their menstrual journey. We are passionate about removing the stigma and shame associated with periods and ending period poverty. Period poverty affects education, health, and self-esteem. We offer menstrual education, well being support and period products to schools and youth groups in the Charlotte Metro area. Girl Flow supports all menstrual equity efforts to help destigmatize periods and make menstrual products as normalized and readily available as toilet paper. We believe that every menstruator deserves the right to flow without feeling unprepared or ashamed.

1 in 5 girls have missed school due to the lack of access to period products - that is more than 3.5 million girls each year.

                                             Empowering Menstruators. Period.

In the daily hustle, the unexpected arrival of your period can throw you into a whirlwind of anxiety and vulnerability. The frantic search for adequate coverage becomes a nerve-wracking journey, leaving you exposed and uneasy. Many share stories of navigating the onset of their periods without the guidance of a trusted adult, making the experience all the more challenging. At Girl Flow, we're not just addressing the physical need for menstrual products; we're on a mission to reshape the narrative around menstruation. For those facing the harsh reality of period poverty, limited access to products, education, and support translates to missed opportunities in school, work, and social life. We firmly believe that menstruation is a natural part of life deserving of celebration. Menstrual products, as essential as basic restroom amenities, should be accessible to all without cost barriers. Girl Flow is dedicated to dismantling the stigma and shame associated with periods, empowering menstruators to flow with dignity and confidence. Join us in the movement towards a world where every menstruator can embrace their flow with confidence and dignity.
